NSW: Fishing to cost $25 under state government proposal

SYDNEY, Jan 19 AAP -The NSW Government is considering a proposal for an annual $25
recreational saltwater fishing licence.

Anglers under 18, pensioners and some indigenous communities would be exempt from the
licences, which were expected to boost government revenue by $6.5 million.

"Mums and dads" anglers wanting to fish on a one-off basis could buy a $10 monthly
licence while those wanting to fish more frequently could obtain a $70 three-year licence.
