COLD STREAMS YIELD GOOD TROUT.(SPORTS)

Here in the Capital Region, trout fishing during the summer months is largely a function of the weather that we get. So far there has been no shortage of rain, so the streams are cold and in good shape.

Starting in Saratoga County, the Kayaderosseras Creek is a great spot to fish. It has plenty of public access, both to the north and the south of Route 29.

In Washington County, the fabled Battenkill is spring fed, so it usually stays cold enough for trout in the summer. The best fishing is on the first five miles, where the stream enters from Vermont along Route 313, though there is about 15 miles of …
