NSW: Teenager charged over man's stabbing
SYDNEY, Dec 14 AAP - A teenager has been charged with attempted murder following a
stabbing in Sydney's northwest, police say.
The 55-year-old victim was involved in an argument with a group of men outside a restaurant
on Cox Road, North Ryde, about 10.30pm (AEDT) on December 5.
One of the men allegedly produced a knife and stabbed him in the stomach several times.
He drove himself to Ryde Hospital and was later transferred to Royal North Shore Hospital,
where he underwent surgery.
An 18-year-old Baulkham Hills man was interviewed by Ryde police on Friday.
He was charged with attempted murder and refused bail to attend Ryde Local Court on February 4.
Police investigating the stabbing have also arrested a 17-year-old male at his home
in North Ryde.
He was charged with affray and refused bail to appear in court on December 20.
